A Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to narrates his horrible experience in SARS custody after he was arrested for no reason.
Read what he wrote below;
“I was on my way to buy fuel on Monday morning suddenly a SARS police van stopped and ordered me to hop in..
I asked what I did and one of them slapped me, the other one brushed me and they dragged me into their van and took me to their station in port Harcourt
Inside there I saw Nigerians been flogged with 2 by 2 plank while been hung upside down, I saw people with infected injuries still been tortured, I saw people with broken waist still been made to squat…i saw hell
My people started looking for me and no-one seemed to know my whereabouts.. They deprived me food since on Monday inside the cell, they refused to let me call my people at least to tell them where I was
Yesterday been Thursday I had to beg one of them that looked like he had human sympathy to help me with his phone let me tell my people where I was and that any amount they want my people will pay
He agreed, meanwhile I still don’t know why I was locked up and deprive of food nor water for 3 days
I called my mum and brother and they rushed immediately and paid 90k for my release and also refused to tell them what I did
Please NASS try and #EndSARS, Nigerians are suffering inside their custody, we were up-to 48 inside one cell, there is no space to even lie down and sleep, if you want sleep you have to sit down and squeeze yourself
Please God help your children inside there… They need you”
